Buhari’s Four Weeks In Office Is Better Than Jonathan’s 5 Years - Lai Mohammed


Lai Mohammed, national publicity secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), believes that the performance of President Muhammadu Buhari(one month in office) in tackling insecurity outweighs that of former President Goodluck Jonathan throughout his five years in office.

CBN extends BVN registration


The CBN said on Tuesday that the Bank Verification Exercise (BVN) has been extended to October 31, 2015, according to NAN.

The Central Bank had earlier fixed Tuesday, June 30, as deadline for the exercise, warning that defaulters may not be able to access their accounts from July 1.

As the deadline approached, millions of customers spent hours on long queues at banks across the country, struggling to have their data captured.

Fresh crisis rocks APC as Deputy National Publicity Secretary calls for Oyegun’s resignation

APC rejects Saraki, Dogara’s victory


The All Progressives Congress on Tuesday kicked against the emergence of Bukola Saraki and Yakubu Dogara as the President of the Senate and Speaker of the House of Representatives respectively.

Saraki, a former Kwara State governor and Chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum, emerged unopposed shortly after the Clerk of the National Assembly, Salisu Maikasuwa, proclaimed the eighth Senate into existence.

Many killed in Buhari’s first week in office


The death toll from two blasts in northeast Nigeria rose to 35 on Friday, raising the total number killed in suspected Boko Haram attacks to 82 during President Muhammadu Buhari’s first week in office.
