A Few Hours To Alleged Corruption Judgment, READ What Fani-Kayode Did In Lagos Hotel

Just a few hours to the judgement in his alleged money laundering court case, Femi Fani-Kayode has caused a scene.
The ex-minister of aviation and campaign spokesman for the former president Goodluck Jonathan caused a scene yesterday evening as he arrived at the five-star Wheatbaker Hotel in Lagos with 15 heavily armed policemen.

Sahara Reporters reports that the hotel, which is located at 4 Onitolo Road (formerly Lawrence Road) in Ikoyi, an upscale area of Lagos, objected to the presence of the policemen.

The minister reportedly upset some guests at the hotel, which is walking distance from the court building, when he stepped into the hotel’s reception in an intimidating manner. According to a Nigerian visiting from the US who was at the hotel, Fani-Kayode showed up at the hotel twice with the same contingent of policemen within a spell of 30 minutes.

The management of the hotel, which plays host to many judges, convinced Fani-Kayode to tell his armed guards to leave the reception area.

Justice Rita Ofili-Ajumogobia chose not to deliver a verdict on the former minister’s case at an earlier date, June 18, because the prosecution counsel, Mr. Festus Keyamo, was absent. It was rescheduled for Wednesday 1 July.
